Welcome to the CISSP Study wiki site!
CISSP study group meeting weekly through December 11, 2007
We're happy to announce that we have had several members express interest in participating in a CISSP study group, and it's official - the group is on. We are still soliciting for CBK presenters and discussion facilitators. Please let us know if you are interested.
FAQ's for participants:
1. When and where?
The group will meet Tuesdays, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., from October 9th - December 11th. Meeting location will be at the Ernst & Young office, at Republic Plaza. Specific address: 370 17th Street, Suite 3400, Denver, CO 80202
2. What are we doing?
Each week we will cover one of the CISSP CBK domains, and will aim for preparation of the December 15th exam. The sessions will be structured, yet informal; each week a presenter familiar with the CBK will lead a presentation and facilitate discussion.
3. What materials are we using?
As an independent study group, there will be no required materials to participate. However, some members have found CISSP studying to be much more helpful when they have something to read and refer to! Some suggestions for reference books might include Shon Harris' CISSP Certification All-in-One Exam Guide, or the Official (ISC)² Guide to the CISSP® Exam
As time and availability permits, we also hope to include example practice questions, so please bring your practice tests!
4. What are the fees?
As this is an informal (volunteer-based) study group, there are no fees for participation. Presentations and discussions are lead by industry experts who are volunteering their time to assist participants in their own preparations. The only fees incurred will be the cost of your parking.
5. What else should I know?
A portal has been created for this study group, and is available at Access is enabled for portal members to add links, add to discussions, or import contact information. As further information is available regarding the study group and topics, it will be added to this portal.
